Corrosion-resistant steels

EP817 steel with the strength of 1225-1350 MPa and VNS-73 steel with the strength of 1375-1490 MPa are irreplaceable materials for large-size welded assemblies (with high welded joint strength), being produced without heat treatment after welding.


Brazed and welded fuel tank

VNS-16-1 steel with the strength of 1200 MPa allows to produce complex-shaped brazed and welded structures.

SN-2A, VNS-5, VNS-43 steels with the strength of 1200-1650 MPa possess the high values of toughness, cracking and corrosion resistance; they are easily welded by all types of welding with the insurance of high strength of welded joints after the heat treatment. Steels are used for the wide assortment of primary parts, in particular, the SN-2A steel - for gaseous high-pressure vessels;

VNS-65 corrosion-resistant weldable steel possesses the highest strength of 1800 MPa among domestic and foreign steels; it has a high cracking and fatigue resistance. The steel is applied for airframe and landing gear parts, including those ones, which are serviced under the sea conditions;

VNS-70, VNS-71 steels are used for brazed panels of sound-absorbing structures, operating to 450°C;

VNS-70 steel sheet is used for skins with the strength of σb≥1200 MPa;

VNS-71 foil is applied for honeycomb filler with the strength of σb≥1000 MPa;

SN-3, SN-3PN steel sheets and bands with the strength of σb≥1200 MPa are used for skins and inner airframe parts.
